Experience the birthplace of King Kamehameha on this small-group adventure.
Start with beautiful views into Pololu Valley from the overlook. The King ordered Pu'ukohola Heiau, located more than 40 miles away, to be built by passing stones hand to hand from this valley. Visit the original King Kamehameha statue in Kapa'au, commissioned in 1878, and enjoy lunch at a local cafe included in the tour. Explore the galleries and shops of the artist colony, Hawi, along with the small sugar plantation museum and visitor's center.
Travel the mountain road to Waimea and explore Parker Ranch with it's historic homes, including Mana Hale built by John Parker and Chiefess Kipikane in the early 1800s. Finally, travel high above Kona into the clouds on Hualalai Volcano. Take a walk through the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary with it's spectacular plants and flock of wild cockatoos chattering overhead before returning to the pier.
