This captivating tour allows you to experience for yourself the historic locations and stunning scenery of the places where it is believed Jesus lived, preached and performed his miracles. Boarding your coach at the pier, you'll enjoy a picturesque drive from Haifa to the top of Mount Carmel. From this advantageous view point, you'll be treated to spectacular panoramic views of Haifa and its glistening bay. After your photo stop, it's on to Nazareth - the place where Jesus spent his early years.
Upon arrival in this fascinating town filled with rich historical significance, you'll have the opportunity to explore the amazing Basilica of the Annunciation, one of Christendom's most revered shrines and the largest church in the Middle East. The Basilica is built on the same site where the Archangel Gabriel revealed to Mary that she would be the mother of the Messiah. Amongst the mesmerizing sites you'll see here is the altar, which incorporates a portion of the grotto where Mary had lived. A remarkable 170-foot- high cupola that rises high above the upper church adds to the Basilica's grandeur and allows the interior to be illuminated with natural light. You will also find a significant collection of magnificent mosaics, ceramic reliefs and other marvelous works of art from around the world adorning the vast interior.
Re-boarding your coach, you'll travel through Cana, the place where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine and then head off along the panoramic seashore to the Yardenit baptismal sight where the River Jordan separates from the Sea of Galilee. In this naturally scenic and symbolic setting, pilgrims from around the world come to perform baptismal ceremonies. On your relaxing ride back to the pier in Haifa, you'll view Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration where Jesus appeared to his disciples in radiant light while speaking with Moses and Elijah.

There is a moderate amount of walking, at times on an incline and some steps to negotiate in the church. It is recommended that those guests with mobility concerns carefully evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. This tour offers an excellent overview of Jerusalem as you learn about the age-old story of Judaism and the almost eternal conflict of words and deeds, while retracing the steps of Christ.
Boarding your comfortable coach at the pier, you'll begin your day by leaving Haifa behind and ascending into the Judean Hills. As you travel to Jerusalem, you will pass by Ramot, one of Jerusalem's newer suburbs, while on your way to Mt. Scopus. At the summit of the Mount of Olives, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the Old City, Temple Mount, the Golden Gates, the Church of the Ascension, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit. Traveling back to the base of the Mount, you will find the picturesque Gardens of Gethsemane, site of an ancient olive oil press yard that is surrounded by 1,000-year-old trees. At this location you will also find the impressive Church of All Nations where a visit is included.
Your coach will next proceed past the city walls and on to the Kidron Valley. From here you will have a view of Absalom's Tomb and the Tomb of Zacharia. Continuing along the eastern walls of the city, you'll enjoy a spectacular view of King David's City before arriving at the Dung Gate where you'll disembark your coach and walk to the famous Western (Wailing) Wall, the holiest site in the Jewish world because it is believed to have been closest to where the Holy Ark once stood. On your way, you will be able to see the Southern Wall excavations.
After what will surely be a memorable morning of sightseeing, you'll be transferred to a local hotel for a relaxing buffet lunch. Following lunch, you'll re-join your coach and head to West Jerusalem to see some of Israel's most well-known landmarks, such as the Jerusalem Theater, the State President's residence, the Israel Museum, the Knesset (Israel's Parliament), the State Supreme Court and the Hebrew University. Next, it's a drive through Mea Shearim, a Jewish orthodox quarter where the old traditions and customs dominate the pace of life. This wide-ranging tour concludes with a leisurely drive back to the port in Haifa.
