This leisurely-paced walking tour begins along the scenic ocean path of Bar Harbor. Our engaging and friendly guide will take to 4 Maine owned and operated venues featuring locally sourced food from the land and sea.
Along this tour, guests will learn about the culinary scene as well as the myriads of hard working culinary artisans, from potato harvesters, blueberry growers, restuaranteurs to bakers, brewers, and lobstermen and women. You will learn about the secret lives of lobsters, their habitat, breeding, life cycles, and more! Lastly a healthy dose of local history is shared as we traverse the back streets of Bar Harbor, explaining the great fire, the former lifestyle of the “Roosevelt” era, and what Mount Desert Island and the town have experienced over the centuries.
