Set out on the water with a naturalist guide in search of humpback whales that spend their winters here. Then enjoy some time to explore the quaint little town of Lahaina. Each winter one third of all north Pacific humpback whales migrate 3,000 miles from their feeding grounds in Alaska to breed in the warm waters of Hawaii. Join a certified marine naturalist for an opportunity to experience these legendary creatures up close. Keep your eyes open and your cameras ready as the whales surface, slap their tails and spout water into the air. Your guide will interpret their fascinating behavior, and will share with you the latest whale discoveries. Listen to their haunting songs through underwater hydrophones – a truly unforgettable experience.
Back on shore, enjoy some leisure time in Lahaina, where you’ll have access to dozens of boutiques, shops, restaurants, and historical sites within easy walking distance.
