OVERVIEW

Travel along a wonderfully scenic highway to the historical George Inlet Lodge, where a chef will demonstrate how best to prepare crab cakes, which you will later enjoy for lunch. The road to the lodge winds through the wilds of Revillagigedo Island and passes an old sawmill and several salmon canneries that will offer a glimpse into the area’s past. Once you reach the waterfront lodge – which was originally a cannery bunkhouse – the attention will turn to food, especially seafood caught in the chilly depths of the surrounding sea. While the chef prepares your crab cakes according to a classic local recipe and recounts entertaining stories about Alaskan fishing and crabbing, you will be served a garden-fresh salad and half a Dungeness crab as an appetizer. The crab cakes will be served hot off the griddle and followed by a slice of creamy cheesecake topped with blueberries, another Alaska specialty.

Snorkel virgin reefs alive with a varying array of tropical fish, large turtles, eagle rays, salt water chub and snapper, which may be sited. Many virgin reefs, volcanic and extensive soft corals, fans and sponges make up the reef life along the Caribbean Sea side of St. Kitts. Refreshments of local non-alcoholic drinks and water will be provided.

It is off to the historic and magnificent White Pass Train adventure. From an antique parlor car, enjoy the incredible scenery while your tour guide shares the stories and history of the Klondike Gold Rush. Upon reaching Fraser, British Columbia board your motorcoach and take a short trip to the Yukon Suspension Bridge. Then it’s time to experience the country that you heard about! Breathe pristine air, taste wild berries in season, hear the roar of raging white water and thrill to the sensations of a swaying walkway over 60 feet above the rapids. There are Tagish First Nation Staff and Elders to answer questions about the site. A variety of First Nations art pieces and crafts are available for purchase, as well. After your experience at the Yukon Suspension Bridge, you’ll continue on your motorcoach for the journey down the west side of the White Pass Canyon. Listen as your driver/guide entertains you with stories of the stampeders who trekked through the pass in search of gold. You’ll see picturesque points such as Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls as you head back to your ship.

The company was also the first in Alaska to grow kelp at a tour site, another sustainable endeavor only possible because of the bay’s extraordinary water conditions. To delve even deeper into the challenges of aquaculture, your guide will explain the threats to the industry along with the sustainable operation. Next, your inner-child will be delighted with our on-site touch tank featuring critters from the local waters. Make sure to bring your camera as the views are amazing offering great photo opportunities. Still, there is no better way to understand how conditions affect oysters and kelp than to taste the final products in a true farm to table experience. A sampling will reveal that the plump oysters have a unique briny flavor that finishes with a hint of melon. The kelp harvested in Southeast Alaska is used liberally in products such as salsa and seasonings.

Ride through the countryside surrounding St. Nicholas Abbey on a meticulously restored vintage train and spend hours relaxing on the beach that rims Carlisle Bay. The immensely scenic drive to the property will set the tone for the train ride, which follows a circuitous route past the plantation Great House, through a mahogany forest and on to Cherry Tree Hill. Although the train has only been operating in Barbados since 2018, it was built more than a century ago and used in Java. Before boarding, you will learn about the extraordinary history of how the train was brought to the island and how the railway was constructed. Ride through the wilderness on the outskirts of Juneau in a Jeep with a retractable top that will offer unobstructed views of Alaska’s extraordinary beauty. A short drive along the Gastineau Channel will take you to Mendenhall Glacier, one of North America’s most accessible glaciers. As a bonus, a leisurely walk along the Steep Creek Trail offers an added chance to possibly observe a bear in the forest. This eco-adventure combines the rainforest canopy with a flight over nine ziplines and 2400 feet of high-tension cables guaranteed to thrill all. At Herring Cove, an all-terrain custom 4x4 Unimog will transport you up a steep rain forest hillside to the canopy chalet. Professionally trained guides will outfit you with the state-of-the-art safety equipment and provide a detailed orientation before you mount the first platform. Your rain forest canopy challenge features a ‘flight’ over nine zip-lines. Your guide will progressively ease you into the forest canopy along cables ranging from a short 100 feet up to 750 feet. Eagles and bears are often seen from the platforms. Cross a hanging bridge offering breathtaking views of the forest below. You will be up to 135 feet above the forest floor. While touring the Geo factory, you will observe the process of making a popular Dominican cheese that is much like a Dutch-style Edam. It too is coated in red wax to prevent any sort of moisture loss that would affect its quality. You will also see how local handicrafts such as baskets and mats are created using only natural materials like banana leaves. Although the views will be spectacular throughout this cultural immersion, the panorama from Imbert Park will be particularly memorable.

Zip off into the desert and along the sea in a four person all-terrain vehicle, accompanied by a naturalist that will enlighten you on the unusual landscape, flora and fauna.

After departing from the pier, you will follow a scenic route through the strikingly beautiful terrain at the tip of Baja California. The deeper you delve into the stark desert landscape, the more enchanting it will become, especially with your guide pointing out the unusual land formations and elaborating on the most fascinating flora and fauna.

Next, after receiving your safety briefing and signing your waiver, you will zip off into the desert in a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle that’s ideal for negotiating the rugged landscape. As you drive along, you will pass through arid mountains, into deep canyons and follow the sand dunes that protect the beach-blessed coast.

You can expect a remarkably picturesque ride with the occasional stop for your guide to elaborate on the flora. Besides ever-present cacti, a variety of palms dot the landscape, as do damiana shrubs, whose serrated leaves are consumed as tea or infused into margaritas.

Back at the recreational center, tequila tasting will be offered for those of legal age. Afterwards, you will transfer back to the pier.

Zip through Placencia Lagoon on a wave runner leaving a rooster tail in your wake and the mainland in your rear view mirror. After watching a short orientation video that will help maximize the experience, you will hop aboard a two-person wave runner and tear off across the lagoon. You can drive the personal watercraft or be the passenger. It’s up to you. Either way, the ride will be exhilarating from start to finish. To ensure that you see all the sights, a guide will lead the way with the wave runners following more or less caravan-style. The numerous mangrove-rimmed islands that you will spot scattered about are well-protected, as their ecologically important trees filter impurities from the water and stabilize the shoreline. The lagoon’s water is typically smooth enough so you can easily carve your way across the surface without encountering any wakes other than your own.

Soar through a tropical forest on two exhilarating zip-lines and enjoy a meandering walk through the jungle on a nature trail with towering suspension bridges.

After departing from the pier, you will take a leisurely drive through the emerald-green countryside to the area’s only extreme adventure park. Upon arriving, you will learn how to maximize your experience during a brief orientation.

You can then participate in three different activities, each thrilling in its own way. You may begin by strolling through the jungle canopy, much of it along suspension bridges and wooden boardwalks. From this vantage point high above the jungle floor, you can expect to see splashes of colorful flowers clinging to vine-draped trees, chirping tropical birds flitting through the air, and creatures such as iguanas and lizards perched on the branches.

A more adrenaline-pumping adventure awaits you on the zip line, which involves sitting in a harness and darting through the treetops from platform to platform. It will be absolutely exhilarating as you pass over trees and through pathways cut out of the dense foliage at heart-pounding speeds. You will be treated to a literal bird’s-eye view of the gorgeous tropical landscape below so don’t blink because it will go by fast.

For the ultimate thrill, try the Zuperman Zip. It is the area’s only forward-facing zip line with a special harness that allows you to fly through the air headfirst like Superman. Afterwards, you will return to the pier in Roatan.

Kayak through the crystal-clear waters off the fishing village of Mahahual and then relax at a private beach club that sits on a spectacular stretch of sugar-white sand.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a beach club in Mahahual, a small fishing village rimmed by sugary, white sand beaches and clear turquoise seas. It’s an ideal, laid-back setting for the leisurely kayaking experience that awaits you.

Upon boarding the two-person kayak, you will head out into the crystal-clear water and enjoy a unique perspective of the coastline and the wonders below through the kayak’s clear bottom. Feel free to paddle along at your own pace, taking in the sights that interest you the most.

Looking back from the typically calm sea, you will gaze out over an idyllic tropical landscape, huge stretches of pristine sand, and coconut palms swaying in the breeze. This is Mexico at its purest, a natural paradise where nothing more ambitious than relaxing is expected of you.

Following your kayaking adventure, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the white sands of the beach club. A complimentary plate of fresh fruit and an icy beverage will provide a great welcome, after which you may relax however your please.

You might take a refreshing swim in the Caribbean, meander along the beach, lie in the sun and admire the tropical scenery or simply sit in the shade with a good book. You may even spend some time shopping before returning to the pier.

Depart from the pier in your air conditioned transportation en route to the small resort town of Pie de la Cuesta, located 14 miles/23 km west of Acapulco Bay. Upon arrival, you’ll board your speedboat for an hour’s ride where you’ll see the mangrove swamp and all of the vegetation.

Visit Bird Island where you may see diver ducks, pelicans, white and black herons as well as seagulls. During the trip observe tropical lush vegetation, a coconut plantation and a sanctuary of typical birds. After your return, you can enjoy free time on your own. You can take a swim in the pool or a walk on the beach before returning to your ship.

Enjoy a 10-minute motorcoach ride to the takeoff site. After gearing up with layers, take a fast boat ride to the remote and protected Tatoosh Islands. Have your camera handy for the magnificent scenery and wildlife sighting opportunities on the fast and fun boat ride. Ancient cedars, spruce and western hemlock trees add to the peace and tranquility of the setting as you glide along the wild rocky shoreline. Bald eagles peer down from overhead, while seals often pop up to take a peek. You might spot a deer or mink along the shore or colorful seaweed, kelp, starfish, jellyfish, and other inhabitants of the intertidal area. Other life you might see are humpback whales, sea lions and orca or maybe an eagle catching a salmon from the water! Upon arrival guides will greet you and present a thorough but quick orientation. Get into your double kayak and launch onto the water. Practice your strokes as you approach the sheltered islands, circumnavigate the Tatoosh islands. After the kayak enjoy a fresh baked cookie. No paddling experience is necessary but expect to paddle 3 miles. The tour is operated for a limited number of guests under special use permit with the US Forest Service.

This entire area is a protected nature reserve and completely undeveloped, which has allowed the flora and fauna to flourish in the mild microclimate that the sheltering Sierra Nevada mountains have created. Hike a winding forest trail through some of the most spectacular countryside on Kauai, a natural wonderland that lives up to its nickname, the “Garden Island.”

After departing from the pier, you will learn about the history of Kauai from the local guide, who will regale you with stories of the “Garden Island.” The oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain, Kauai is covered by tropical rainforest, emerald-green valleys and jagged mountains of volcanic origin. It is a gorgeous setting for hiking through the forest.

The trail that you will follow covers about five miles and is immensely picturesque the entire time. As you hike through the lush wilderness, you will gaze out over some of the most extraordinary terrain in Hawaii. You can expect to see thundering waterfalls, primeval mountains and deep valleys, all created by ancient volcanic activity.

Along the way, the guide will point out the most interesting flora and fauna, especially those endemic to Kauai. You may see indigenous white plumbago in bloom, unusual ferns on the forest floor, brightly colored bromeliads clinging to tree branches and native forest birds such as the Kauai Amakihi and the Anianiau, the smallest of Hawaii’s honeycreepers.

Explore the pristine waters of Icy Strait Point on this tour that highlights the protected waters of Port Frederick. From the pier, you will walk the short distance to the Kayak center where you will receive a safety briefing and kayaking orientation. Following that, you will hop in your two-person kayak and begin your adventure. You'll spend nearly two hours paddling about these pristine waters, delighting in the serenity and joy of being out on the water, as well as having the opportunity to observe the bountiful wildlife that inhabits this wilderness area. Your guide will help you spot animals, explain their habits, and offer all sorts of tidbits to maximize your time kayaking along the shoreline. While there are no certainties regarding what you might observe, humpback whales typically feed along the very same route that you will be traveling. You may see one in the distance breaching the water's surface, waving its fluke before diving, or spy hopping, which is when a whale pokes just its head out of the water to look around. The nutrient-rich waters of Icy Strait are also home to orcas, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters and seals. During your excursion, you will also paddle to an even more serene area, frequented by bald eagles. There are few sights more visually arresting than following the flight of one of these majestic creatures as it rides the wind until swooping down to catch a fish with its talons. After returning to the beach at Icy Strait Point, you will turn in your equipment and head back to the ship, or perhaps visit the nearby Welcome Center.

Zip through the turquoise seas off Charlotte Amalie in a powerful catamaran that will take you to one of the island’s premier spots for snorkeling. The one-level Powercat offers plenty of cushioned seats in the shade and sun so you can easily find a spot to your liking. Either way, the views will be wonderfully picturesque on the way to Buck Island. A different sort of tropical scenery awaits you beneath the water’s surface, as you will discover while snorkeling the island’s Turtle Cove. You might spot French angelfish, brilliantly colored damselfish and bright-blue tangs. Hawksbills and green turtles are prevalent and watching them gracefully swim by is a showstopper. Next it is off to Honeymoon Beach, on Water Island another idyllic setting that is great for swimming and beachcombing with its easy access.

Explore the beautiful and picturesque villages of Corfu by mountain bike. Leave the port by coach to Dassia where you’ll be outfitted with your bike and receive all necessary instructions. Accompanied by a local guide, your mountain bike expedition begins with a short and easy uphill climb to the village of Kato Korakiana. Once you reach the village, stop for a short rest at a traditional coffee shop before continuing on to another village.

The foothills of Mount Pantokrator offer stunning views of the inner plains of the island, which stretch out below you. Through a narrow paved alley, you’ll reach the picturesque village of Saint Marcos, an old Venetian settlement with carefully restored stone built houses and a Byzantine chapel. At a local tavern in this village, enjoy a Greek snack before you take the road down the hill.

Soar through the treetops over the Martha Brae River enjoying your naturally beautiful surroundings while listening to the soothing sounds of the river below. After ziplining, enjoy the adventure falls at your leisure (6 wading pools, 50 ft cascading falls and 300 ft waterslide) while you take advantage of the sugar house restaurant and bar by making your purchase for food and drinks.

Get acquainted with sharks and rays in a unique new way during this glass-bottomed boat ride in Bora Bora, and a swim with stingrays.

Leave the pier for a brief cruise during which your guide will share with you their knowledge of these legendary animals. Arriving at the mooring location which is in about 25 feet of water, your guide will then try to attract black-tipped sharks for you to view. If you are lucky, not only will you see some black-tipped sharks, but also some lemon sharks which are known to frequent the area as well. Tropical fish abound in this area.

Continuing on, you will proceed to a shallower, clear lagoon for a rare opportunity to view the stingrays’ ballet through the large glass floor. Jump into the water for an opportunity to swim with these graceful animals (mask and snorkel are provided). An amazing experience you won't soon forget!

Canoe along the shores of pristine Chilkoot Lake and look for wildlife, which is abundant throughout the surrounding river valley. The naturalist guide will describe some of the iconic animals that live in the area on the fast ferry ride to Haines, during which you may spot brown bears, mountain goats and bald eagles. After a narrated tour of Fort William Seward – a now-decommissioned fort built in 1902 – you will continue on to Chilkoot Lake, whose sheltered waters are typically as smooth as glass. You will enjoy a unique perspective of the lake while riding in a Voyageur canoe much like the ones that trappers and gold miners used more than a century ago. Depending on the conditions, you may paddle or rely on the motor to power the canoe along the forested shore and into secluded inlets. In time, you will pause for a picnic lunch at a remote beach.

Scenic mountain and river views with wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Your knowledgeable guide will meet you at the dock in Haines. A scenic 26-mile drive along the National Scenic Byway and through the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve brings you to our remote staging area.At the staging area, you’ll receive an orientation and safety briefing on our Razor style UTVs (Razor style Side-by-sides) from your guides. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 21 years old and bring a valid driver's license. There are a combination of 2-person and 4-person machines to accommodate varying group sizes and families. There are several spots along the tour where we can swap drivers to give everyone some time at the wheel. The UTVs are automatic transmission and drive similar to a car for ease of operation. These high performance UTVs are fun to drive and a great way to explore the Alaska wilderness. Over the next 15 miles of gravel road, your guide will lead you through a series of remote areas, and we’ll explore the wilds of Alaska! As we drive along beaver ponds and mountain meadows we may spot swans, salmon, eagles, bears or moose along the way. OVERVIEW

Take the helm of a mini boat and cruise around San Juan Bay, an experience that will offer a unique water perspective of the capital city and its landmarks. After a briefing to ensure that you are comfortable as captain, you will motor across the bay in a 13-foot rigid inflatable powerboat designed to hold two people. You will follow the guide past the modern high-rises that line the waterfront Condado District and continue on towards the Historic District. Stops will be made along the way to hear commentary and behold highlights such as the Governor’s Mansion, Castillo San Cristóbal – the largest Spanish-built fort in the New World – and San Felipe del Morro, a fortress completed in 1790, despite being started about 250 years earlier. You will return via an eco-friendly water channel lined with mangroves, where you may spot iguanas in the intertwined tree branches and a variety of colorful birds.
