This is a beach site with limited snorkeling, which may be unavailable depending upon weather. Swim locations vary depending upon weather conditions. Join the crew on your snorkel boat, as your Captain sets course for the wreck of the 'Constellation', a shipwreck made world-famous by the film "The Deep". Three decades later, there is even more beautiful coral and fish surrounding the shipwreck. The wreck lies in only 20 feet of water, but is six miles off the north coast of Bermuda. The views are as breathtaking above the water, as they are below. After a full snorkel instruction and safety briefing, you’ll have approximately 45 minutes to explore the 'Constellation', as well as the nearby wreck of the 'Montana'. The Captain will then sound the horn, and prepare to cruise to your next snorkel location, a beautiful and secluded cluster of the world's most healthy coral reef. You’ll have another half hour to venture out and explore the underwater world before making the way back to your ship. In the event of inclement sea conditions, captain reserves the right to substitute with an inshore reef site.

Enjoy a panoramic drive along Bermuda’s picturesque southern shore with stops along the way at the most alluring attractions. After crossing the world’s smallest drawbridge, you will travel past a lengthy nature reserve in surprisingly bucolic Somerset Village, around the Great Sound and on to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. Climb the spiral staircase of this whitewashed beacon – the world’s oldest cast-iron lighthouse – and you will be treated to 360° views of southern Bermuda. As you will notice while pausing at some of the loveliest beaches that rim the southern shores, they feature pink sand. The magnificent pastel hue comes from a combination of white limestone sediment and red single-cell organisms called foraminifera. Pastels also dominate Hamilton, Bermuda’s winsome capital, especially along Front Street. The colors beautifully complement the harbor’s turquoise water. During free time in Hamilton, you might shop in the one-of-a-kind stores or simply meander about enjoying the stylish ambiance.

After departing from the pier in an open-air train trolley, you will soon arrive in the heart of the Royal Naval Dockyard. Known as the “Gibraltar of the West,” the dockyard played a vital role in War of 1812 and both World Wars. As you ride the trolley through the streets, the conductor will entertain you with colorful anecdotes and fascinating facts about the history and architecture of the dockyard. Along the way, you will pass the Royal Navy Cemetery, which dates back to 1812. Other points of interest include Lagoon Park, whose mangroves support a thriving population of birds, and Somerset Village, a residential area on Somerset Island that was settled centuries ago.

The tour ends back at the pier. However, as an alternative, the conductor will drop you at Clock Tower Mall to browse the shops and then you may return to the pier later on your own.

OVERVIEW

Observe the wonders underwater through the transparent bottom of your kayak while paddling through the sheltered waters off Ely’s Harbour in the West End. After a brief orientation to ensure that you maximize the experience, you will ease into a two-person kayak and paddle off into the harbor’s typically calm and clear waters. You will glide past shores lined with environmentally friendly mangroves, pause to admire the dramatically eroded cliff known Cathedral Rock and gaze out over Wreck Hill, where the Sea Venture supposedly wrecked in 1609 stranding its English crew and passengers. You may also paddle around the beach-rimmed islands that dot the natural harbor and stop to swim. Even so, the most unusual part of this adventure is watching the marine life through the kayak’s clear bottom. You may see brightly colored blue angelfish, striped sergeant majors, princess parrotfish and spotted eagle rays, all of which are native to Bermuda.
