A scenic safari bus ride along the south side of St. Thomas brings you to the Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Refuge & Marine Sanctuary where a truly unique experience awaits you and your family! Kayak past many, small islands of the mangrove lagoon. Hike through a mangrove forest, along a scenic beach of coral and shell rubble with views overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Buck Island and French Cap in the distance. Established in 1672 as a Danish colony, Charlotte Amalie is the oldest city in the Virgin Islands and has a long history of supernatural happenings, many of which you will hear about in great detail while walking past the places where they supposedly occurred. You may hear about the secret graves beneath Fort Christian, the oldest standing structure in the Virgin Islands; the Cow-Foot Woman, known locally as La Diablesse, who roams the streets with one human foot and one cloven hoof; the colonial-era spirits said to haunt the historic 99 Steps; and the ghostly guests who check into – but never out of – Hotel 1829. Hear the true story of the pirate Jean Hamlin and his sunken ship, La Trampeuse, the grim legacy of the plague ship that brought cholera to the island, and the haunted history of Creque Alley. Similarly, Paradise Point will offer the ultimate view of Charlotte Amalie, as it overlooks the city. You should easily be able to make out your cruise ship in the harbor below. Still, nothing compares to seeing the island’s extraordinary beauty up close, and you will have the opportunity at Magens Bay. OVERVIEW

Cruise to neighboring St. John for a leisurely walk through Cruz Bay with stops for tasty snacks and craft cocktails in popular bars that the locals favor. To reach this most naturally preserved of the U.S. Virgin Islands, you will take the ferry along the southern shore of St. Thomas and on to the town of Cruz Bay, which overlooks the bay of the same name. Although the largest town on the island, Cruz Bay is still small and compact, making it easy to get around. You can expect to drop by bars that serve classic rum punches, frozen cocktails and citrusy Painkillers, a signature drink that lives up to its name. Chances are, you will also hit the Tap Room for a glass of St. John Brewers beer with a tropical flair such as mango pale ale. Afterwards, there may be time for shopping and independent exploration.
