This river tubing adventure is fun, refreshing and scenic. It’s an experience the entire family can participate in and enjoy. It’s a 40-minute boat transfer from Harvest Caye Marina to the mainland of Belize where you will start your adventure by boarding one of our air-conditioned buses at Malacate Pier. Relax and enjoy the approximately 55-minute scenic ride to your rainforest river tubing experience. As the bus turns off the paved highway, you'll embark on a picturesque journey up the mountain on a jungle canopy road. When you start seeing tree ferns, you'll know you're getting close. Upon arrival at the tubing orientation site, you'll find restrooms where you can change if needed. You'll then meet your experienced guides, who will provide you with life jackets—your tubes will be waiting at the starting point. After a safety briefing, you'll re-board the bus for a short ride to the launching point. The mountain spring-fed river is usually crystal clear, except after a shower. As the river winds through the narrow mountain gorge, you'll encounter numerous small rapids, making for a lively and fun-filled journey. You'll be smiling and laughing all the way down the river. At the end of your tubing adventure, your guide and our river rangers will assist you out of your tube. A short walk will bring you to the greeting area, where you can purchase snacks or a cold drink. Remember to bring cash, as this off-grid location does not accept credit cards. After changing back into dry clothes, you'll board the waiting bus and enjoy a relaxing ride back to Malacate Pier. Note: River flow varies with the seasons, being faster during the rainy season and slower in the dry season.

Stand up Paddle Boarding or SUP, is a fun sport and very easy to learn. With just a few helpful hints from our staff, you'll be able to paddle the lagoon, offering views of local wildlife, flora and fauna. Have young children? Just place them on the board with you, a fun family activity for all ages.

Not your typical Hop-on Hop-off experience! Ride a bus reserved exclusively for your group around Split, highlighting the city's modern side, followed by a walking tour through the charming old town. Although originally colonized by Greeks, this area wasn’t developed until Roman Emperor Diocletian built a magnificent palace in the early 4th century. As you will discover, this deserved UNESCO World Heritage site is an architectural treasure. After departing from the pier, you will begin a panoramic drive around Split, passing by a wide range of attractions aboard in an open-top top single-decker bus. A panoramic view allows you to easily enjoy a glimpse of Split and Promenade will help you to discover the city’s past and present. For a look at contemporary Split, you will stroll the seaside promenade that stretches between Diocletian’s Palace and the harbor. It is an excellent place for people watching and to get a feel for daily life as the promenade is always bustling. The lagoon on Harvest Caye is the perfect place to discover the fun and ease of kayaking. After a brief orientation on how to use your kayak, you’re free to explore the lagoon on a self-guided tour.

Surround yourself in nature and let your senses heighten as you paddle past tropical landscapes watch for local wildlife. The lagoon and surrounding wetland make for a perfect escape from everyday life.

Cruise the winding Monkey River, looking for wildlife in the surrounding rainforest, and then enjoy a hike with a naturalist that will explain the plants' medicinal uses.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a small village near the mouth of the Monkey River, where you will begin a leisurely cruise upstream. Along the way, the guide will provide enlightening commentary about the region's history, including how the economy boomed in the late 19th century when large volumes of bananas were exported.

Little evidence of that thriving time period remains, as the meandering Monkey River is bordered by undeveloped rainforest. Natural beauty and remarkably diverse flora and fauna are now the main attractions.

You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including crocodiles sunning on the riverbanks, turtles popping their heads above the water's surface, and iguanas perched in the tree limbs. You might even spot a troop of black howler monkeys screeching in the forest.

Tropical birds are just as abundant along the river, especially wading birds such as herons, brightly colored tanagers and keel-billed toucans, the national bird of Belize. Toucans are easy to spot because of their large, colorful bills and how they croak like frogs.

Once you disembark, you will hike through the surrounding forest while the naturalist guide points out plants with medicinal qualities. For instance, leaves of the soursop are often brewed into a tea that reduces fever, and the wild yam has anti-inflammatory properties.

If soaring like Superman across the main beach of the island sounds like your idea of fun, then this is the activity for you. You’ll be met at the keeper’s house, located at the base of the Flighthouse by the flight crew who will provide you with a safety orientation, assist with your equipment selection and fitting and a technical flight briefing covering the upcoming flight mission. Once outfitted and briefed, you’ll be transported up to your designated flight deck via the Flighthouse elevator where your adventure begins. This 1,300 ft “Double Beach Superman Run” delivers a major adrenaline experience as you fly racing face down in a “Superman” position at 40 mph! Note the beach run can also be done in the regular seat harness that is used for the Lagoon Run Zip.

After a brief orientation on how to use the Mirage Eclipse Pedalboard you will pedal out of the confines of the Harvest Caye Lagoon and will navigate along beautiful mangroves in the Placencia Lagoon. Your guide will point out and explain about the local marine life and how crucial it is to protect the local eco-system, while looking for our resident manatees that come to graze on the sea grass that grows in the area. Cruise through the water silently, easily seeing what’s below from this vantage point. These pedalboards are easy to maneuver and require no previous experience. It's wider than a paddleboard and its hull and handlebars are optimized for stability, with steering control at your fingertips.

The Ottomans and Byzantines ruled this city for centuries, and testament to these great empires stand the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, opposite each other in Sultanahmet Square. You’ll see these two impressive places of Istanbul as well as the Grand Bazaar. Start with a visit to one of the most recognized landmarks in the world, the Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, better known as the Blue Mosque. Continue to the Hippodrome, to see the remains of what was once the scene for political struggles in the capital city of the Byzantine Empire. Visit the Hagia Sophia Mosque, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. It served as a church for hundreds of years during the Byzantine Empire and was converted to a Mosque when the city was conquered by the Ottomans in 1453. Next stop is the Grand Bazaar. You’ll have a short time to experience the exotic atmosphere of the covered part.

Once you launch, open your eyes! Take in the blue hues of the Bahamian waters and watch for the marine life as you zip over coral reefs descending lower and lower finally landing adjacent to the Silver Cove lagoon.

The return is a includes a 105-foot V-net bridge, a 25-foot chimney climb and for those with the mental and physical stamina try your hand at the 36-foot cargo net climb stationed 40 feet above the ground. Two additional long zips between these obstacles provide additional rushes of adrenaline and some great adventurous bragging rights!

OVERVIEW

This excursion is for guests who are fully dependent on their mobility device. You will be required to supply your own wheelchair/scooter. Your mobility equipment (manual or electric) must not exceed the following dimensions: W 29", L 43", H 70".

Tour includes step-free routes, shorter distances and no stairs. Accessible restrooms with wide doors for wheelchairs are present along the tour route. Vehicles are adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and/or mobility scooters. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs; therefore, guests needing special assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied.

Protected by medieval walls, Trogir has retained its layout from the Hellenistic period and is a remarkable example of urban continuity. You can’t help but be awed by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque architecture along the winding stone streets and by the 15th-century Kamerlongo Castle looming above. Back in Split, you will explore its Old Town, which the Greeks originally colonized, and Diocletian’s 4th-century palace nearby, which is considered to be the most historically valuable Roman architecture on the Adriatic Sea’s eastern coast. As you travel along the ancient pathways, you will discover just how special it really is. If you opt to visit the cellar, notice how it opened to the sea in Diocletian’s day, allowing noble guests to arrive by ship.
