Read the description of the rooms. Some of the spa rooms specifically say they have king size beds. Most rooms say they have two twins that can be moved together for a queen size bed.

If they are not seperated you can ask your cabin Steward and they will glady do this while you are out of the cabin for the evening and before bed time. usually when they do turn down.

We were just on the Bliss in Alaska and I was able to use my Starbucks app and also received stars for my purchases which was a pleasant surprise!

If available you can purchase a Thermal Suite weekly pass prior to boarding. In the past when I have done it on other NCL ships (I cannot imagine that the Breakaway would be different), it depends in the length of the cruise and sometimes ship because newer ships have a larger Thermal Suite.

There are two main smoking areas on the Breakaway: Spice H20 Bar, Deck 16 aft and an enclosed area on the sun deck, deck 15. You can also smoke in the casino when it is open.

I bid on two upgrades and won one. I would think either someone else won the upgrade you bid on or someone rented or for some reason was assigned to that particular suite. Aside, I was happy with my upgrade, even though I paid almost full price for it.

There are US (110) and European (220) outlets in all staterooms. There are not many, nor are they always conveniently located. An extension cord or power strip can come in handy.

Yes. I usually drink milk at breakfast in one of the restaurants. The buffet also has milk available in large dispensing machines, but you can also find small cartons at breakfast time.

Yes. The Breakaway has 3 main/regular dining rooms. The main one is The Manhattan Room, the other 2 smaller ones are Taste and Savor. All 3 have the same menu, but only Taste and Savor are open for lunch on embarkation day. We prefer to eat at those two because of the smaller, more intimate atmosphere. The food is exactly the same and the service is excellent. Of course, there's always the buffet, but I assume you're like us and would prefer a more relaxed dining experience.

Unfortunately, the website is often glitchy. The best way to find out about upgrading your cabin is to call NCL and ask a human being. Their customer service is actually very good and a lot more reliable than the website.
