if you have the ultimate beverage package does the gratuity for specialty drinks get applied? can we use our on board credit yo pay or cash?

If you purchased the ultimate beverage package or if you received it as part of a promotion, the gratuity for it has already been collected at the time of booking. You won't be charged anything extra for it. As far as any onboard credit is concerned, all charges that you have on the ship like service charge, shore excursions, onboard shopping, specialty dining etc will be billed to your stateroom. Any credit that you have will be applied to your final bill.

Haven 14500: Where do the 7th and 8th guests sleep?

We're traveling as a group of 6, but we are not three couples. Looking at the floor plan, I can see the three bedrooms, each with a bed for two, but this cabin allegedly sleeps up to 8, and I can't see where the 7th and 8th guests would sleep. On sofas in the main room? Thanks.

This is me answering my own question for the benefit of others. The other 2 answers are wrong. I emailed NCL to make sure the beds would be separated into twins in all three bedrooms, and they said this can't be done. Also, there is one sofa bed in the main bedroom and one sofa bed in the third bedroom. None in the main living area.

The photo studio on the Gem is located on Deck 12, Starboard side, just in front of the pool area and just behind the game room.

Are you allowed to bring a refillable glass water bottle?

You can fill the water bottle in the cafe by filling a glass and transferring the liquid into the bottle. You cannot put the water bottle under the water/juice dispenser.

what is a privasea in the balcony room

If you look at the photo of the Gem you can see that the first three or four balconies near the front on several decks have smaller openings that the rest of the balconies. The hull forms a frame around the opening for those balconies to reduce the effect of wind and sea spray, which is more prevalent at the front of the ship. NCL calls these Privasea balconies.

It usually takes about 30 minutes for the ship to be cleared by customs before the guests can start disembarking. If the ship docks at 8 AM, you can expect all guests to be cleared off the ship by around 10 AM.

No. NCL doesn't sponsor any kind of religious services onboard their ship. However, if there is a priest travelling as a passenger, they are allowed to conduct religious ceremonies onboard the ship.

Does the ship have a washer and dryer on board for passenger use?

No. There are no self-service laundries. All ships offer laundry, dry clean & pressing services. They have laundry bags in your stateroom that you can give to the cabin stewards. Usually around the middle of the cruise they offer discounts on the services. However, I wouldn't use it for any delicate or expensive dresses.

There are 2 shows - first one around 7:30 and an encore performance at 9:30 PM. The doors open 30 min prior to the show.
