Does the drink package cover Starbucks drinks. Does it cover drinks at all the bars or only certain ones.

If you upgrade to the more expensive drink package it includes Starbucks, bottles of flat & sparkling water, cans of soda (diet sprite is not included in the base pkg) and expensive champagne/wine. The base, Free at Sea, does not include these items.

If you’ve taken a Transatlantic cruise on the Getaway, do you have any suggestions or tips on the long Atlantic crossing?

Things to do, book, participate in, etc.?

I've never been on a Transatlantic Cruise, will someday, but many other cruises and Sailing Days likely are the same. I know a lot of people like to sleep in but I'm sorry, you're in the middle of the Atlantic so you have to get up for the Sunrise. I don't care what time I go to bed; I am up. Then get a few more hours of sleep then hit breakfast. Check out the Daily Planner for all the day's activities. Take a mid-day nap, there are nice comfy sofas and chairs on the outside of Deck 8, mid ship. Oh yea, Bars open at 10 am and then Repeat. And yea, explore the ship and relax. Don't forget Sunset. I posted a sunrise photo, hopefully it shows up. Enjoy.

If you don't purchase the drink package what do you drink?

IF you don't purchase any drink package are you charged per drink on the ship or can you just drink water for free? I'm not clear how the beverage packages work, I assumed basic beverages were included in the price I paid.

So, we've traveled many different NCL Ships and always get the drink package. But this past Summer 2023, we traveled the Pearl to Bermuda and my parents did not get the drink package. I'm confident this statement is the same for all ships. They got Coffee, Tea, Iced Tea, Milk, Tap Water complimentary at restaurants, and obviously at the Cafe. Alcoholic drinks, soda, bottled water you will be changed plus tip added automatically. If you're not a big drinker, but want a drink, just get one or two. I think soda is $4, beers are $8 and mix drinks are $12 to $14. Hope this helps.

Yes, the Cafe is open and likely at least one of the Complimentary Dining and maybe a Specialty Dining will be open.

What are the hours for the American Diner? Are items on the menu complimentary or a la carte? I see price for shakes but not food.

Yes in the thermal spa but you must have a thermal spa pass to use. Not sure if there are any elsewhere on the ship

Are you allowed to bring a case of water onboard?

I though5 years ago you were allowed one case.

You cannot bring any beverages/liquid on board. We always pre order water online in our cruise reservation account. I recommend this since the price is like 1/2 the cost versus ordering on the boat. Side note, when off the boat you can carry liquor bottles on the ship, and they will check them for you and will deliver to your room the last night. But rather than carrying, a lot of stores will deliver your order to the ship. We've done this in Bermuda.

The casino is generally open at night while docked in Bermuda. NCL has a license form Bermuda gaming authorities to open its casino while in port. They could do it during the day, too, if they wanted to, but since most guests are off the ship, they've chosen not to.

When docked in Bermuda do you need to purchase the beach transfer each day to get off boat?

I see there is a $50 per person per day beach transfer, is that required to get off the boat and get to the beach or can you walk off and explore the island?

No, you walk off the ship anytime you want and there is no charge. The beach transfer is a bus ride to one of the beaches not near the Dockyard.
