Indulge in a selection of delectable desserts while walking through some of San Francisco’s most attractive neighborhoods. Your confectionery adventure will begin with a snack not often thought of as a treat—a slice of toast—but one that has been elevated to an artisanal plane. Your so-called “fancy toast” may be topped with freshly ground almond butter or smashed avocado. One bite and you will understand how toast became such a craze. Upon reaching Alamo Square, you will pause for photos of the Painted Ladies, a cluster of seven colorful Victorian and Edwardian homes that are so iconic to San Francisco that they are referred to as Postcard Row. They are a treat for the eyes. Ahead lies the hip Hayes Valley neighborhood, where you will sample several unusually flavored ice creams before tantalizing your palate with a fresh-baked macaroon or an over-the-top cupcake.

Experience the beauty of one of Bangkok's lesser-known treasures during this full-day visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya.
Depart the pier for the 3-hour drive to historic Ayutthaya. Ayutthaya was founded in 1350 AD, and remained the kingdom's capital for 417 years until 1767 AD, when it was conquered and destroyed by the Burmese. Visit the exquisite Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, formerly a popular summer retreat for Thai kings. The Palace includes one of the most photographed buildings in the kingdom, a charming Thai pavilion built over a pond.
Drive to the historic center of Ayutthaya and visit the Historical Park to explore some of Ayutthaya's most famous and interesting ruins. A part of the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the day, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local hotel.

Board your exclusively chartered train for your journey to Berlin. Upon arrival, you'll depart on an exciting tour, covering the top ten highlights of this bustling city. Depart the pier and take a short walk to the train station to your chartered standard train for an approximate 2 1/2 to 3 hour journey to Berlin. While relaxing and watching the German countryside pass by, you’ll be served a light snack. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your local tour guide and transfer to a coach.
You exciting city tour of Berlin will cover the top ten highlights of the city. Photo stops will be made at the East Side Gallery, a 3/4 mile section of the Berlin wall, Checkpoint Charlie and at the Bebelplatz, one of the most beautiful squares in the city. You’ll pass by Potsdamer Platz where the first hole in the Berlin Wall was made and which today is a block of glass and steel skyscrapers. At the Holocaust Memorial, you’ll have another opportunity for a photo stop before making your way over to the Brandenburg Gate.
After enjoying a traditional German pub-style lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll have an outside visit of Charlottenburg Palace, the oldest surviving Prussian palace. You’ll drive into the former western part of Berlin, where you’ll pass by the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and see the Victory Column commemorating the Prussian victories. Depending on the order of the tour and timing, you’ll have the opportunity to spend some leisure time, before transferring to the train station for your return journey.

Board your exclusively chartered standard train for an approximate 2 1/2 to 3 hour journey to Berlin. While relaxing and watching the German countryside pass by, you’ll be served a light snack. Upon arrival at one of Berlin’s train stations, your local tour guide will welcome and assist you to board your coach. Depart on an exciting tour of Berlin, covering the top ten highlights of this bustling city. Photo stops will be made at the East Side Gallery, a 3/4 mile long section of the Berlin wall, Checkpoint Charlie and at the Bebelplatz where below the ground level lays the Empty Library. You’ll pass by the Potsdamer Platz, formerly a no man's land between East and West where the first gap in the Berlin Wall was made in 1989, and which is today a pristine block of futuristic glass and steel skyscrapers.
A few blocks away from here, at the Holocaust Memorial, you’ll have another opportunity for a photo stop before making your way over to the famous Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag government building. Before continuing your sightseeing tour, you’ll enjoy a traditional German pub-style lunch at a local restaurant. Next, enjoy an outside visit to the Charlottenburg Palace, the oldest surviving Prussian palace, and then drive into the former western part of Berlin, along the Kurfuerstendamm, where you’ll pass by the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church and the largest department store on the continent of Europe, the KaDeWe. Continue passing Berlin’s main train station with more than 80 shops that are all open seven days a week. Also, see the Victory column commemorating the Prussian victories. Depending on the order of the tour and timing, you’ll have the opportunity to either spend some time at leisure at the Kurfuerstendamm, Friedrichstrasse, Unter den Linden Boulevard or Berlin’s Main Train Station (or similar), before transferring to the station for your return journey.

After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a wonderfully picturesque drive south, following a mostly coastal road to the town of Chiclana de la Frontera. Here, you will find the Royal Center Hipica, an equestrian facility where you will be paired with a horse suited to your riding abilities. Even beginners will be comfortable in the saddle.
Following a brief orientation on how to make the most of the experience, you will ride into the surrounding pine forests. The gentle trail will lead you through the spectacularly scenic and serene countryside at a leisurely pace that will allow you to really take in the natural beauty.
Along the way, the guide will point out the most noteworthy flora and perhaps describe the founding of Chiclana de la Frontera in the early 14th century. You can expect it to be an enlightening, immensely peaceful ride, most of it in the shade of the towering pines.
Upon returning to Cadiz, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, which the Phoenicians founded in the 12th century. You can’t help but notice the Moorish influence in the architecture, especially in the Old Quarter. Highlights include the Neoclassical-style Cadiz Cathedral, an abundance of stately 18th-century mansions and the remains of the original walls that once protected the city.

This tour combines nature and history with visits to both an outdoor venue and a historic local home.
Boarding your coach at the pier, it's a 45-minute scenic drive to the Casela Leisure & Nature Park. This beautiful garden and bird sanctuary of some 25 acres, is situated in the west part of the island. Almost 1500 birds of 150 different species are housed in some 90 aviaries, including the Mauritian Pink Pigeon, one of the rarest birds in the world. Casela also houses a variety of animals, such as tigers, monkeys, lemurs, deer, giant tortoises, wallabies, ostriches, crown-cranes, cassowaries, axis and emus. Its natural setting, spacious layout, snack bar and luxuriant green vegetation have made it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
Leaving Casela, you will next proceed to Eureka, a fine restored colonial house. Stepping inside this more than one and a half century old house is like entering another era. All of the antique furnishings serve to show visitors what the colonial life here was like. Adding to the ambiance of the house, it is surrounded by the Moka mountain range and the flourishing Ravine, where the sweet fragrance of the dense vegetation wafts through the air. During your visit, you will enjoy some refreshment of tea and cookies, all served under the home's inviting verandah.
When your visit is concluded, you will rejoin your coach for the 30-minute transfer back to the pier.

Spend hours with a chef in her spacious loft home as she demonstrates culinary techniques and provides cooking tips, all in the interest of improving your skills in the kitchen. Whether you are somewhat of a novice or a highly experienced cook, this course has plenty to offer. During the session, you will learn how to prepare dishes using seasonal ingredients that are nutrient-rich and responsibly sourced. You will also discover the principles of flavor composition so you can create memorable dishes without following a recipe when you return home. Much of the course will be hands on, allowing you to better understand the principles by practicing the techniques under the chef’s watchful eye. Afterwards, you will be served a lunch made with garden-fresh ingredients that reflect California cuisine. The exact dishes will be determined by what’s in season, but past offerings have included summer vegetable galette, balsamic Swiss chard tart and buckwheat crepes with tarragon zucchini.

Embrace the beauty and flavors of the scenic Rioja Alavesa countryside during this memorable tour, tasting and lunch in El Ciego.
Depart the pier by coach for the scenic 2-hour drive to the town of El Ciego. Located in the Alava Province, El Ciego is the site of the new City of the Wine, a complex created by the Marques de Riscal cellars. The City of the Wine includes the old cellars, new Frank Gehry hotel, and new French wine spa, Caudalie.
Upon arrival to the complex, your tour will begin with a visit to the cellars. Here, you will learn about the history of the region's wine-producing heritage and techniques, and hear about the latest wine-making technologies. After your visit, you will be invited to taste the white Verdejo and red Reserva Marques de Riscal wines.
Continuing on, you will make your way to the town of Laguardia, where you will enjoy a brief guided walking tour and then a typical local lunch at Posada Mayor de Migueola, a traditional restaurant. Following lunch, you'll transfer directly back to the ship.
Note: This tour includes approximately 90-minutes of moderate walking with some steps to negotiate and some of it over uneven surfaces. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not recommended for those with mobility concerns. Meander through a nature reserve and research center in Skálanes and learn about the flora and fauna that flourish in this extraordinary landscape. Chances are, you will see scientists and university students studying the various ecosystems and excavating archaeological sites such as the abandoned farm Thorarinsstaðir, one of more than 80 such sites in the reserve.
As you might imagine, wildlife is abundant, especially coastal birds. You can expect to see golden plovers, black-tailed godwits and perhaps gyrfalcons, a magnificent but threatened species that is Iceland’s national bird. Be sure to ask how the fluffy down feathers of eider ducks are collected and sewn into duvets on site. It is a fascinating process that doesn’t impact the birds at all.
If you are lucky, you may also spot reindeer and arctic foxes from the surrounding mountains. Regardless of where you wander, you will behold some of the most spectacular and pristine countryside in east Iceland.
Note: This tour requires a moderate amount of activity and participants should be in good physical condition. It is not available to guests who utilize a wheelchair or to those with walking difficulties. It includes approximately 1 hour of walking for about 1 mile (1.5 km). Participants must be able to manage a high step to get on/off the vehicle. The hike is optional but strongly recommended. Your instructors will be an accomplished husband-and-wife team that are master sommeliers. They will make it easy to learn the basics of wine and cider production, how to properly blend ingredients to achieve the intended tastes and how best to age the beverages. They are experts in fermentation and extraordinarily skilled at passing along their knowledge in ways that are easy to understand. During the wine and cider tastings, you will delve even deeper into how blending ingredients yields different flavors. Thoughtfully chosen snacks will be paired with the wine and cider.
