Norwegian Cruise Line, the innovator in international cruise travel, was recently named "Europe’s Leading Cruise Line," by the World Travel Awards for the 12th consecutive year.
“It is an honor to be recognized for our continuous commitment to the region and to hold the title as ‘Europe’s Leading Cruise Line,’ for the last 12 years,” said Harry Sommer, international president for Norwegian Cruise Line. “We have focused on maintaining a strong presence year-round, and for the first time, have the largest European fleet in the company’s history, with itineraries calling to some of the most incredible destinations on the continent.”
Earlier this year, the World Travel Awards also recognized the brand as the “Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line” for the seventh consecutive year, as well as “North America’s Leading Cruise Line” for the fourth year in a row.
With six ships sailing in Europe – Norwegian Epic, Jade, Star, Spirit, the recently renovated Norwegian Getaway, and for the very first time, Norwegian Pearl – the company offers itineraries to multiple destinations including the Mediterranean; Greek Isles; French, Spanish and Italian Rivieras; and voyages to the Baltic, from various ports throughout the continent.
In the summer of 2020, Norwegian Escape, the first ship of the company’s most successful and innovative class, the Breakaway Plus class, will make her European debut with nine, 12 and 14-day cruises from Southampton, England; Civitavecchia, Italy; and Copenhagen, Denmark, offering new and exciting guest experiences on both land and sea.

About Norwegian Cruise Line
As the innovator in global cruise travel, Norwegian Cruise Line has been breaking the boundaries of traditional cruising for over 52 years. Most notably, the cruise line revolutionized the industry by offering guests the freedom and flexibility to design their ideal vacation on their preferred schedule with no assigned dining and entertainment times and no formal dress codes. Norwegian Cruise Line not only provides superior guest service from land to sea, but also offers a wide variety of award-winning entertainment and dining options as well as a range of accommodations across the fleet, including solo-traveler staterooms, mini-suites, spa-suites and The Haven by Norwegian®, the company’s ship-within-a-ship concept.
