OVERVIEW

Settle in for a spectacularly scenic drive through the countryside to an award-winning winery that once supplied wines to the royal family in Vienna. Although it will take about two hours to reach Dabović Winery, the natural beauty of Montenegro’s mountainous interior will make it well worth the time. A stop will be made along the way to stretch your legs and snap photos of the dramatic landscape. Upon reaching the family-owned winery, you will learn about the production process with a focus on the indigenous Žilavka white grape variety. Generations ago, that grape was used to produce wines sent to the Viennese court. During a traditional lunch of specialties made at the winery, you will enjoy a sampling of Dabović organic wines that may include a varietal or a blend made from white Žilavka grapes. The winery produces most of its reds from Vranac and Kratošija grapes.
