Waipara Wine Trail & Lunch

OVERVIEW

Enjoy tastings at three premier wineries in the Waipara Valley, a burgeoning wine region with long hot summers and cool winters that provide grapes with more time to ripen. More than 75 wineries now call the valley home, covering more than 1,200 hectares of planting. The Waipara wine region is one of New Zealand’s fasted growing wine regions. Waiparas wineries are internationally renowned for producing pinot noirs, pinot gris, reislings, chardonnays and sauvignon blancs. You will visit three different wineries where you will get to taste many different wine styles and options as well as enjoying a platter style lunch at one of the wineries. Your driver/guide will provide an interesting and informative commentary throughout the day as we travel through one of New Zealands most internationally renowned wine regions, on return to your ship you will enjoy a short city tour through the city of Christchurch.
