OVERVIEW

Discover the serene beauty and spiritual heritage of northern Kyoto on a journey to one of the region’s most revered temples. Travel to Nariai-ji Temple, perched on a mountainside overlooking the coastline, where centuries of history and natural surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere. Known for its cultural and spiritual significance, the temple offers an opportunity to experience traditional Japanese religious practices while surrounded by forested landscapes. Continue to the nearby Nariaisan Panorama Observatory, where sweeping views of the coastline and the distant Amanohashidate sandbar provide a breathtaking backdrop for relaxation and photography. On the return journey, stop at Roadside Station Michi-no-Eki Miyazu, where guests can enjoy time to browse local souvenirs and experience traditional architecture in a coastal setting.

Need to Know:

Note: This tour includes approximately two hours of moderate walking, with uneven terrain at Nariai-ji Temple. It is available to guests who utilize a collapsible wheelchair, can make their own way on and off the coach, and have a companion to assist them, as special pathways and a lift are available at the temple, while other locations are generally flat. Coaches do not have lifts. The order of the sites visited may vary. Free time at the roadside station is unguided. Guests are encouraged to bring Japanese yen, as credit cards may not be accepted at all locations.
