Enjoy a 25 minute scenic drive to Coral World Ocean Park. There a sea lion trainer will brief you on your exciting encounter with the South American sea lions and escort you to their private swimming area. You’ll swim, touch, and play games with the sea lions. They’ll amuse you as they demonstrate their amazing agility and intelligence. Experience how the trainers train and engage them in various behaviors. Get a hug and a big wet kiss from a sea lion for a photo and memory of a lifetime.
Then you’ll have 90 minutes for a self-guided tour of Coral World. Watch marine life behaviors hard to see in the wild. Marvel at the grace of the sea turtles, sharks and stingrays. Coral World is a rehabilitation center for stranded and injured endangered sea turtles. At the touch pool, gently handle starfish and sea urchins, pet a sea cucumber, meet a hermit crab and other touchable sea creatures. Visit the Lorikeet Garden where you can feed nectar to these playful and colorful birds. Find a special gift or souvenir at one of the unique gift shops and relax and refresh at one of the open-air cafes. During your scenic drive back to the ship, you may opt to be dropped off downtown for additional shopping and return to the ship on your own.
