Palau De La Musica & Old Quarter

Explore the stunning Palau de la Musica (Palace of Music), another of Barcelona's architectural gems. Built at the beginning of the 20th century in the Art Nouveau style, this masterpiece of creativity relies on the decorative arts - mosaic, stained glass, ironwork and glazed tiles - and exploits the use of natural light. Home to the beautiful gothic Church of Santa Maria del Mar, dated back to the 12th century, in a time when Barcelona grew out of its ancient Roman protection walls and gave birth to this unique maze of street.
